Desktop Client 3.9.3.0

  1. Introducing editing and saving of HTML wrapped Seclore-protected files.
    1. Now, when you open an HTML wrapped protected file by double-clicking on it, it will open in the native application.
    2. After editing in the native application if you click Save, the content is updated in the HTML wrapped file itself.
    3. When you close the file, the HTML wrapping is preserved.
    4. If you close an HTML wrapped protected file opened in the native application after editing, the Save dialog box prompts you to save the file before closing the application.
    5. For files protected using Universal Protection, the HTML wrapped file will open in the native application as well.
    6. However, on saving after changes, the Save As dialog box appears.
    7. On saving, an unprotected file is saved on your machine.
    8. This works on all file formats with the exception of image and text file formats
  2. Fixed the issue where incorrect error messages in the local language of the user was displayed on opening a file in certain cases.
    1. Before the fix: Incorrect error message for invalid PS certificates while opening a file, was displayed in the local language of the user.
    2. After the fix: The correct error message in English will be displayed in the above-mentioned case.
  3. Fixed the issue where if a file with read permission was opened from a network location, another file from the network failed to open.
    1. Before the fix: The user opened a protected file from a network location with read permission.
    2. When the user tried to open another protected file of the same native application from a network location, it failed to open.
    3. After the fix: Protected files from network locations open successfully one after the other.
  4. Fixed the issue where the Open With window was displayed instead of opening a protected PDF file directly with right-click >> Seclore’s Open With Adobe Acrobat Reader DC option.
    1. Before the fix: When user opened a protected PDF file using right-click >> Seclore’s Open With Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, the Open With window was displayed instead of opening the file directly.
    2. This happened when both Adobe Acrobat XI and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC were present in the system.
    3. After the fix: The file will directly open in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.
  5. Discontinued support for Adobe Reader X.


Seclore for iOS 3.5.000

  1. Introducing support for opening universally protected file on iOS devices.
    1. Once you receive a universally protected file on email, click on the protected attachment (HTML-wrapped).
    2. You will be prompted to open it with any of the applications in your device. Select Seclore for iOS app.
    3. Post authentication, the user will be asked to select a native application that supports the file.
  2. Fixed the issue where password protected files did not open on iOS devices.
    1. Before the fix: When a protected file, with password protection, was opened in Seclore for iOS, the file did not open.
    2. After the fix: A prompt will ask for a password when such files are opened. After the user enters the password the file will open.


Policy Server 3.9.0.0

  1. Enhanced the 'Download Unprotected Copy' feature to work for files opened in the read-only mode in Seclore Online Editor or if a read-only file format is opened in the Seclore Online Editor.
    1. The user will require Seclore Full control permissions on the file to see this option in the Seclore Online Editor.


HotFolderServer 3.2.0.0

  1. Introducing Universal Protection and HTML wrapping of standard file formats in Hot Folders.
    1. Earlier, non-standard file formats were protected and given .seclore extension when placed in a Hot Folder.
    2. Files protected with .seclore extension could only be opened in Seclore Desktop Client.
    3. Now with the support of Universal Protection, non-standard file formats will be HTML wrapped and given the .html extension when placed in a Hot Folder allowing them to be consumed in all Seclore agents.
    4. The files previously protected and given .seclore extension will be HTML wrapped and given the .html extension as well.
    5. Additionally, there will be a provision to automatically HTML wrap standard file formats placed in Hot Folders.
    6. Requires
      1. Policy Sever version 3.8.2.0 or above.
      2. Universal Protection and HTML wrapping feature to be enabled in Policy Server.
