Applies to: Adminless Client


Symptoms & Error:


  • ERROR: WinLite already installed for some user
  • ERROR: Seclore already installed.


Adminless/Lite client installs in below registry:

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Seclore\FileSecure\FileSecureLite

Since it is always installed on current User profile, we will need to find out the user profile for which the lite client was installed previously.


Solution :

      a.We need to identify which profile contains Adminless/Lite agent.

  • Login as Administrator (Domain admin or system admin)
  • Check for location C:\Users and Task Manager -->Users tab.

Find out how many and which Users were logged in on the system.

  • Check for Seclore folder in each User profile in C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Seclore
  • Check for location C:\ProgramData\Seclore\FileSecure\Desktop Client     

Check User folders mentioned for all the User profile created.


      b.Remove Adminless agent manually

  • After finding which users have DC profiles created out of the Logged in Users, we will have to manually cleanup the Adminless/Lite Agent for all the Users. Please follow the instructions: 
  • Login as the User
  • Uninstall Seclore from Programs and Features
  • Rename/Delete Seclore folder from location:
     C:\ProgramData\Seclore
  • Rename/Delete Seclore folder from location:
     C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\Seclore
  • Rename or Delete below resgitry:

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Seclore

  • Delete Registry

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Installer\Products\F9998DCDD5A754644BEF65CA773FF266
