Seclore 3.11.1.0 Release Announcement (1st March, 2020)

Desktop Client 3.9.1.0

  1. Fixed the rare issue where protected image files were not opening using MS Paint in presence of Boldon James classification.
    1. Before the fix: When the user, with Boldon James classification installed, right clicked on a protected image file and selected Open with >> MS Paint, the image did not open.
    2. This was observed with the Desktop Client version 3.8.12.0 and above.
    3. After the fix: The protected image files opened in MS Paint, as expected.
  2. Fixed the issue where protected files with multiple ‘%s’ in the filename stopped working on opening or unprotecting in offline mode.
    1. Before the fix: Protected files having multiple (either consecutive or separated) ‘%s’ in their filenames stopped working when opened.
    2. Also, when user tried unprotecting such a file (Right click >> Advanced >> Unprotect), the file did not function as expected.
    3. After the fix: Users will be able to open and unprotect protected files in offline mode with multiple ‘%s’ in their filenames successfully.
  3. Fixed the issue where the Undo action did not work after editing and saving a protected Excel file.
    1. Before the fix: After a user opened, edited and saved a protected Excel file, the Undo action did not work like it should in case of an unprotected Excel file.
    2. After the fix: Undo changes can be performed even after saving changes in a protected Excel file.
  4. Fixed the issue where a protected file lost all the attributes after it was HTML wrapped.
    1. Before the fix: When a protected file was HTML wrapped, the file lost all its attributes.
    2. These attributes included Read Only mode, hidden attribute, change in creation date, etc.
    3. After the fix: Protected files, when HTML wrapped, will retain the above-mentioned attributes.
  5. Fixed the issue where in case of cloned Windows machines, the installation report of the Seclore Desktop Client displayed only a single entry.
    1. Before the fix: When a machine was cloned and Desktop Client was installed in the cloned machine, it replaced the installation entry of the previous machine.
    2. Due to this, the installation report did not record the actual number of installations of the Seclore Desktop Client.
    3. After the fix: The installation report will display the installation of Desktop Client in the cloned machine as a separate entry.
    4. This will ensure that the actual number of installations of the Desktop Client is recorded in the installation report.
