Steps to replace the License File. 

 

Depending on the deployment platform kindly refer to below steps: 

 

  • Linux Docker with Policy Server version 3.27.0.0 or greater (with DAC). 
  • Linux Docker with Policy Server version 3.26.2.0 or lesser (without DAC). 
  • Windows Docker. 
  • Windows Server. 

 

Note:  

1. Ensure the name of file should be PolicyServer.lic [Case Sensitive].  

2. It is important take the backup of original license file before updating the new file.

3. Please share the screenshot of updated license details (Refer to steps in end of articles)

 

 

a. Linux Docker with Policy Server version 3.27.0.0 or greater. 

1.Login to the policy server machine and stop the policy server service by navigating to the below path: 

 /app/seclore/policyserver1/policyserver/container-scipts/policyserver_container_stop.sh  

2. Replace the license at below-mentioned path: 

  /app/seclore/policyserver1/policyserver/bin/run-context/in/config  

3. Start the Policy Server by navigating to below-mentioned path: 

 /app/seclore/policyserver1/policyserver/container-scipts/policyserver_container_start.sh  

 

b. Linux Docker with Policy Server version 3.26.2.0 or lesser. 

1.Login to the policy server machine and stop the policy server service by navigating to the below path: 

  /opt/seclore/policyserver1/scripts/policyserver_container_stop.sh 

2. Replace the license at below-mentioned path: 

  /opt/seclore/policyserver1/run-context/in/config/ 

3. Start the Policy Server by navigating to below-mentioned path: 

  /opt/seclore/policyserver1/scripts/policyserver_container_start.sh  

 

 

c. Windows docker steps: 

1.Login to the policy server machine and stop the policy server service by navigating to the below path: 

 C:\Seclore\policy server\scripts> stop ps service 

 2. Replace the license file at location:  

drive:\seclore\policyserver\config\.  

 3. Start PS service cmd 

 

d. Windows Server: 

1. Log into the PolicyServer machine and stop the ‘Apache Tomcat' service. 

2. Replace the license file at location:  drive:\seclore\policyserver\config\ 

3. Start 'Apache Tomcat' server service and access the PolicyServer page. 

 

 

Kindly check if the License is update on the PS by following steps: 

1. Login into the Policy Server with System Admin.  

2. Verify updated license details by navigating to the 'License' tab. 



Closure of license ticket:


Once the license is shared with the customer and we are about to close the ticket. We have to inform the respective CSM that we have shared the license with the customer(production, UAT or POC or infosource) and after informing the CSM and if there is no further input from them we can close the ticket.
